SPY

After Bridesmaids we kept hoping Melissa McCarthy would find another hit.  She has it here in this wickedly funny spy spoof playing Susan a highly efficient CIA desk clerk who monitors the actions and positions of the organizations top agents.  But she’s bored with her station nestled in a rodent infested bureau basement and is sorely underestimated by her boss (Allison Janney) and colleagues (most notably Jason Strathom playing a frightfully intense agent who may not be quite as skilled as he thinks he is).  When an operative is killed trying to disrupt a secret nuclear arms deal – Susan is sent to track the culprits. But Susan turns out to be far more capable than anyone could have imagined.  This is not a comedy about someone in over their head rather a comedy about someone leagues ahead of everyone elses’.  A nice return for McCarthy.

DF-02227_R - Melissa McCarthy is Susan Cooper, a CIA analyst, who volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a global disaster.

Went to see Spy with my girlfriend. Great movie. My friend didn’t like all the f—- bombs, thought it was too much but I was fine with it. Would recommend everyone to go see it.
